Lynne Grace - Capturing the South April May 2019

Lynne is an artist living in Riverton Southland with approximately four years of regular painting behind her. Though tutored by a local Otautau oil colour landscape artist, her water colour, other art mediums and subjects have been largely self-taught.

Lynne comes from a farming background so finds that inpires her towards nature themes in her pieces.

She works full time in Invercargill but tries to make time each week to develop art skills and explore creative ideas.

Lynne is part of the Art group Artists of Southland which she has found to have been a real benefit, in sharing techniques, understanding composure and developing her art scope.

My Southland Story - Ceri Macleod Exhibition

29th September to

18th November 2018

FREE ENTRY
Even though we had seen a lot of the world, we are still completely blown away by the natural beauty that surrounds us here in Southland. Those big skies, big mountains, big rivers and seas are breath taking, with awe-inspiring views around each corner.

My favourite views are of the Hokonui hills. I have tried to capture the many colours, shapes and light through drawings and paintings, but you really can’t beat getting out there and exploring them yourself.

This is my Southland story. I hope you can make it yours too.
